Dessert Holdings is seeking a dynamic Assistant Production Team Lead in our Le Center, Mn facility to join our production crew and help craft premium desserts that delight customers worldwide!
What You'll Do:
  • Lead with Impact: Support the Production Team Lead in guiding a team of 8-16 talented individuals, ensuring smooth operations and top-notch food production.
  • Champion Quality & Safety: Uphold our high standards for food safety and quality, adhering to FSSC 22000, HACCP, and GMP protocols to ensure every dessert is safe and scrumptious.
  • Drive Efficiency: Coordinate daily activities, track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using hour-by-hour boards, and create action plans to "win the day" and meet production goals.
  • Problem-Solve Like a Pro: Conduct root cause analysis for safety, quality, or production issues, and provide feedback to improve processes and procedures.
  • Train & Inspire: Mentor new team members, including future Assistant Production Team Leads, and foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and collaboration.
  • Keep Things Running: Operate and maintain production equipment, ensure accurate weights, track inventory, and maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary workspace.
  • Step Up: Take charge when the Production Team Lead is absent, ensuring seamless operations and effective shift handoffs.
What You Bring:
  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years of manufacturing experience (food production experience is a plus!).
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, data entry).
  • Problem-solving skills and a resourceful, self-motivated mindset.
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to work a varied schedule.
  • Bonus points for bilingual skills in Spanish or Somali (speaking, writing, reading).
  • A passion for maintaining a safe, high-quality production environment.
